This weekend just gone, I was invited to host a series of fundraising sessions supporting the wonderful work of the Women’s & Children’s Hospital and especially the wonderful team of Nurses and Doctors who make a huge difference in the lives of the little people in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
As part of the fundraising, Cara’s Coast to Coast Challenge put on a wonderful Family Fun Day at the Sanctuary Function Center at the Adelaide Zoo.
By all accounts the day was a HUGE success, kids everywhere, face painting and well over $5000 raised on the day from auctioning the wonderful donations of other businesses and the fabulous support of the families who attended on the day. Part proceeds from packages purchased from these sessions will be adding to the amazing fundraising effort of Cara and her team of volunteers!
Here is just a little peek of the gorgeous families and children we photographed on the day – the theme was ‘superheros’ – because that’s what the NICU staff are!
